Guatemala Summer Adventure
19 Jul, 2019
St. Agnes Academy eighth grade students Molly Solecki and Charlotte Schwartz had an unforgettable summer as they traveled to Guatemala. The two-week trip was part of the St. Agnes-St. Dominic Junior High summer student exchange program through Faces and Cultures. Charlotte and Molly were hosted by families in Guatemala City where they experienced the culture and the sights of the city and attended classes.
This is the first year that St. Agnes-St. Dominic has participated in the Faces and Cultures program. Faces and Cultures promotes the development of multicultural and global competencies that will prepare students for an increasingly interconnected world. In the fall of 2018, SAA-SDS had the opportunity to host two students from Guatemala. This enriching, global experience provided a new look at the world for the entire Junior High as they spent eight weeks learning from our visitors.
