SAA Senior Named National Merit Semifinalist

St. Agnes Academy Senior Sarah Wray has been named a National Merit Semifinalist in the 2021 National Merit Scholarship Program. From academics to Student Government to competing on the school’s softball team, Sarah is as an outstanding student, leader, athlete and volunteer.
Recognized as an AP Scholar with Distinction, Sarah is a member of the National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta and National Spanish Honor Society.
Sarah is the 2020-2021 Vice President of the St. Agnes Student Government Association. She previously served as SGA Treasurer and Secretary and freshman class president. She is a peer mentor as well as a retreat leader and tutor in the SAA Math Lab. She is active in Youth in Government, Beta Club, Pep Club, Forever Friends Club and the Star Squad and competes for the Stars softball team. She volunteers as counselor at Madonna Learning Center. Last spring, Sarah was recognized by the Memphis Business Journal as one of the 2020 Girls Who Mean Business. Sarah plans to pursue a career in medicine.
Semifinalist students rank among the top one percent of high school seniors throughout the country. Students qualify for National Merit recognition based on their scores from the junior year Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
