St. Agnes Academy Senior Earns National Merit Honors

St. Agnes Academy senior Olivia Berntson has been named a National Merit Semifinalist. Students qualify for National Merit recognition based on their scores from the junior year Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
Olivia has distinguished herself as an outstanding student, leader and athlete at St. Agnes. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club, English Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society and Social Studies Honor Society. She earned AP Scholar with Honor recognition for her performance on recent AP exams. Olivia is a member of the St. Agnes Academy Honor Council, vice president of the Spanish Club, and serves as a retreat leader. She has participated on the school’s Mathletes and Model United Nations teams. Additionally she is a staff member of the school’s award-winning literary magazine, Calliope, and serves as a team member of the G2Crew.
A talented athlete, Olivia has competed for four years on the St. Agnes varsity soccer, basketball and track teams. She has been named to the West All—Region team in basketball for three years, has earned Scholar Athlete honors for three years, and holds school records in both the Pentathlon and 400-meter relay. As a senior she is captain of the basketball team.
